Maintenance Planner

Recruiter & Senior Associate: Medical Device - Industrial & Manufacturing I’m partnering with a large, global manufacturing organization to hire a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to support a high-asset, production-critical facility in Sumter County, South Carolina . This role sits within Engineering/Maintenance and is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive and planned maintenance activities to maximize asset availability and minimize unplanned downtime. Role highlights Plan and schedule PM, CM, outages, and other planned maintenance activities Build integrated maintenance schedules aligned with production planning Own work order planning, resource allocation, backlog management, and cost control Ensure materials, tools, labor, and timing are validated for each job Drive maintenance KPIs, planning efficiency, and continuous improvement Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams Ideal background 3–5 years in maintenance as a technician or first-line supervisor Experience with processing, packaging, utilities, or facility equipment Strong maintenance planning & work control fundamentals Hands-on CMMS experience (SAP strongly preferred) Strong communication and team-oriented mindset If this sounds like you—or someone in your network—feel free to comment, message me directly, or share confidentially.
