Customer Service Representative (CSR) at Marrs Heating, AC, Plumbing & Electrical

Marrs Heating, AC, Plumbing & Electrical is an established, third-generation local company serving Bellingham and the surrounding Whatcom County area. Were looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team and serve as an important first point of contact for our customers.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service or call center experience who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced environment. You do not need previous HVAC, plumbing, or electrical experiencewe can teach you the trades side of the business.

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative will communicate with customers by phone and other channels, schedule service appointments, coordinate with technicians and office staff, and help ensure customers receive a professional and positive experience from their first interaction with Marrs.

This is a full-time, in-office position MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming customer calls in a professional and friendly manner

• Schedule service appointments and coordinate technician availability

• Gather accurate information about customer needs and service requests

• Communicate appointment details and updates to customers

• Coordinate with technicians, dispatch, and other office staff

• Respond to customer questions and concerns

• Help resolve customer issues or escalate them appropriately

• Maintain accurate customer and appointment information

• Enter and update information in company software and systems

• Follow up with customers as needed

• Help keep daily schedules organized and running efficiently

• Support outbound customer calls and follow-up efforts

• Present and promote service memberships when appropriate

• Provide a positive customer experience throughout the service process

• Maintain professionalism and composure in a busy environment

• Perform other administrative and customer-support duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, call center, scheduling, or office experience preferred

• Experience in home services, construction, lawn care, or a similar service-based industry is a plus

• HVAC, plumbing, or electrical experience is not required

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Professional and friendly phone presence

• Strong organization and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable working with computers and learning new software

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and office staff

• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

• Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills

• Comfortable learning new products, services, and processes

Compensation

$20$25 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications, plus opportunities to earn additional spiffs for outbound activity and membership sales.
