Phlebotomist II

Duration: 3 Months

The Phlebotomist will support daily Patient Service Center operations by performing phlebotomy collections for patients of all age groups , along with order entry and processing. The role requires strong blood-drawing skills, including the ability to perform collections using a straight needle .

• Perform blood draws and phlebotomy collections on patients of all age groups .

• Perform venipuncture using straight needles and other appropriate collection methods .

• Complete approximately 25-35 draws per day .

• Perform order entry and processing accurately.

• Follow proper procedures for patient identification and specimen collection.

• Ensure accurate handling and processing of specimens.

• Maintain accurate documentation and computer records.

• Support daily workflow within the Patient Service Center.

• Work effectively as part of a team.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow established safety and laboratory procedures.

• Remain on your feet for most of the day when the location is busy .

• Complete approximately 2 weeks of initial training .

• Patient Service Center with 4 draw rooms .

• Team of approximately 3.5 Phlebotomists .

• Team-based work environment.

• Approximately 25-35 patient draws per day .

• No specialty requirements.

• No travel required.

• Phlebotomy experience.

• Must be able to perform blood draws using a straight needle .

• Comfortable performing collections on all age groups .

• Computer literate.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Ability to remain standing for most of the workday when busy.

• Strong attention to accuracy during order entry, processing, and specimen collection.

• Self-starter who can support daily PSC operations.
