Job Description:Surgical Oncologist: Pancreatobiliary SurgeryDepartment of SurgeryHavard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC)Harvard Medical School (HMS)The Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), is seeking a board certified/eligible, fellowship-trained, academic surgical oncologist. The successful applicant will have demonstrated strong clinical capabilities in managing pancreatobiliary malignancies with a proficiency in robotic approaches. A demonstrated aptitude for multidisciplinary collaboration is critical. Responsibilities will include teaching of medical students and surgery residents, clinical and/or basic research, as well as patient care. Experienced candidates are preferred, but new fellowship graduates with exceptional promise will be considered. Appointment as Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations.
