Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher in Wilkesboro, NC (28659)
Start/End: ASAP - June 4, 2027
35 hours per week In-person | Mix of Middle & High School
This is a split-position serving both a middle school and high school. The teacher will work in an inclusion/resource setting, collaborating with classroom teachers and providing specialized instruction and support to students with exceptional learning needs.
Special education/EC teaching credentials REQUIRED
The Ideal candidate will:
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support to students with disabilities.
- Serve students in both inclusion and resource settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and other members of the educational team.
- Develop and implement instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Support students in accessing and participating in the general education curriculum.
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
