Legal Counsel

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Legal Counsel to join our team and provide expert legal guidance across a broad spectrum of business activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and mitigate legal risks. As a key member of our legal team, you will work closely with various departments to support our growth initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. Your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will help us navigate complex legal landscapes confidently and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including licensing agreements, service agreements, and partnership arrangements
• Provide clear, actionable legal advice to internal teams on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management
• Provide legal support for the construction, operation and development of manufacturing
• Collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Operations, Procurement and other departments to provide comprehensive legal support for factories in the U.S.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant across all jurisdictions
• Advise on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations
• Assist in managing disputes, investigations, and litigation processes by coordinating with external counsel when necessary
• Develop and deliver training sessions on legal topics to promote awareness and adherence throughout the organization
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions by conducting due diligence and drafting transaction documents
• Maintain organized records of legal documents, policies, and correspondence for easy access and reference

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active license to practice law in relevant jurisdiction(s)
• 3-5 years of prior experience in corporate law at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department
• Legal work experience in the automotive industry
• Licensed to practice law in the U.S.
• Proven experience as a Legal Counsel or in a similar role within a corporate environment
• Strong understanding of commercial law, contract law, intellectual property rights, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and confidently
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail in all work activities
• Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office suite; familiarity with contract management software is a plus
