Description The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) will be responsible for the following: Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment (Ex: conveyors) Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures Perform battery changes, and preventive maintenance on batteries Enter downtime data in daily log, complete PM sheets Electrical knowledge of basic components Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment Track and store the department’s inventory, including spare parts Skills industrial maintenance equipment maintenance conveyer hydraulics pneumatics schematic motors Diesel Top Skills Details industrial maintenance equipment maintenance Additional Skills & Qualifications MRTs MUST HAVE at least 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive & preventative maintenance procedures. 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading 2+ year knowledge with electrical and electronic principles 2+ year experience of following and demonstrating safety standards 1+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems 1+ year experience in Microsoft Office products and applications High school or equivalent diploma Candidate from Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, Industrial industries performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment (running diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, creating work orders), specifically experience with conveyors Preferred Qualifications Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Continuous improvement mindset Willingness to learn and grow within Amazon RME Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and Safety standards Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field 2+ years of experience working with PLC based controls systems Experience with robotic operation and maintenance Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
