Salary: $41,600 - 45,760 per year Requirements:

• We require a high school diploma or GED.
• We require at least three years of professional hands-on experience in computer maintenance, customer technical support, and LAN/WAN environments.
• We require strong customer service and communication abilities.
• We require experience working in a networked environment with installation, troubleshooting, and updates for Windows Server 2022 or newer, Microsoft Exchange Server Subscription Edition or comparable Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Windows 11, and Microsoft 365 Apps.
• We require the ability to take part in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to urgent issues within set timeframes.
• We require the ability to access Texas Criminal Justice Information Services system data, and the selected candidate cannot have a felony or Class A misdemeanor conviction, or a Class B misdemeanor conviction within the past 10 years.
• We prefer an associates degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• We prefer a background in PC support or a call center setting.
• We prefer industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certifications.

• We serve as the main point of contact for city employees and end users.
• We provide responsive front-line technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals.
• We troubleshoot hardware and software issues to keep devices functioning properly.
• We support network file and print services.
• We resolve a broad range of IT application issues to help city operations continue smoothly.
• We participate in an after-hours on-call rotation and handle critical incidents as needed.

We are the City of Bryan and are hiring an IT Systems Support Specialist to support our employees and end users with day-to-day technology needs. This is an in-person role with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., plus an after-hours on-call rotation. The hiring pay rate is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on qualifications.
