Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite 5 days a week)
Experience: 3 4 years
Must-Have Skill: Hands-on Grafana experience
Job Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer / BI Engineer with 3 4 years of experience and strong fundamentals in data engineering, SQL, and BI/visualization. Hands-on Grafana experience is mandatory. The candidate can have experience with either AWS or Microsoft Azure; there is no specific cloud-stack restriction.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Strong hands-on experience with Grafana , including dashboard development, data-source integration, queries, monitoring, and alerting
- Strong proficiency in SQL , including complex queries, joins, views, and data transformations
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows
- Good understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and analytical/reporting datasets
- Working knowledge of Python for data processing and automation
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent
- Experience with either AWS or Azure data services
- Familiarity with REST APIs and data formats such as JSON, CSV, and Parquet
- Understanding of Git/version control and basic CI/CD practices
- Strong analytical, debugging, and data troubleshooting skills
- Power BI, Spark/Databricks, Prometheus, Docker, or Kubernetes experience would be a plus
Please prioritize candidates with actual hands-on Grafana implementation experience , rather than candidates who have only used Grafana for viewing dashboards.
