Let’s talk.Essential Functions:Leading the product discovery processUnderstanding user problems, needs, and the competitive landscape - the holistic user perspectiveBrainstorming with stakeholders to solve user problemsValidating that proposed solutions will solve user problemsDefining product specs, including user stories and requirements, that engineering and design stakeholders can easily understandPrioritizing solutions, factoring in potential upside/benefits, resources and timeline constraints, and strategic considerationsCreating the product strategy and roadmap for your product, while still being aware of the larger organizational landscape and when cross-product/team collaboration makes senseActively listening to internal and external stakeholders to maintain awareness of features that are not currently on the roadmap, but perhaps should beEvangelizing your product vision with the organizationCommunicating with stakeholders and leadership about your product, including but not limited to: Design, Engineering/QA, Event Operations, Sales Engineering, Finance, Sales, and LeadershipTranslating requests from clients and internal stakeholders into product specifications and requirements, in collaboration with the Design and Engineering teamsCollaborating with stakeholders to ensure the needs are fully understoodCreating thorough and clear requirements so the product engineering team understands what they’re buildingLeveraging Jira to appropriately break down and create work tickets for the teamFacilitating work through the development processConverting the product spec / requirements into Jira tickets (the system we use)Writing documentation on the feature for internal stakeholdersEnsuring that the delivered feature matches the product spec / requirementsConducting user research, as neededCollaborating with our Design and other internal teams to find appropriate research participants, both internal and externalCapturing the results of research and translating it into clear product requirementsSupporting the release processEnsuring roadmap features are delivered in a timely mannerEnsuring the product release process is followedCommunicating regularly with stakeholders about upcoming releases to ensure they are prepared and ready to support our clients and customersActing as a resource / subject matter expert on your product for others in the organizationMaintaining expertise in the industry as a whole, along with a clear sense of how your product fits into the competitive landscapeCompetencies:Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product ManagerExceptional verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsStrong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders and senior leadershipStrong presentation skills for a variety of audiences, including senior leadershipAbility to build rapport and trust with others, both internally and externallyAbility to make objective, data-driven decisionsNice to have, but not requiredExperience in the live event industry, conventions in particularExperience with JiraExperience with Pendo Supervisory ResponsibilityNo direct reports but must be able to influence your peers as the leader of your productBENEFITS: We offer Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary benefitsGenerous PTOPaid parental leave (following 12 months of continuous employment)401K Match$200 event reimbursementAccess to learning & development opportunities through our LMS platform and peer-to-peer LeapU programOFFICE INFORMATION:Leap Event Technology is a remote-friendly company.
