Event Specialist

Location: Las Vegas, NV (Onsite) Industry: Event Services / Convention Operations Employment Type: Temporary Contract Compensation: $21/hour About the Opportunity A nationally recognized organization is seeking professional, dependable Event Staff to support a large-scale international convention taking place in Las Vegas. This short-term opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in fast-paced environments and have experience in customer service, hospitality, conventions, events, retail, or administrative support. Team members will play an important role in creating an exceptional attendee experience by assisting with registration operations, distributing conference materials, assembling welcome kits, and providing general event support. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-volume environment. The event will take place July 18 – July 24, 2026 , and candidates should have full availability throughout the event. Staff may be asked to support multiple event locations on the Las Vegas Strip. Responsibilities Welcome and register conference attendees in a professional and friendly manner Verify attendee registration information and distribute badges and event materials Assemble attendee welcome kits, ensuring all materials are complete and accurate Organize and replenish registration supplies and conference materials Answer attendee questions and provide directions throughout the event Assist with registration troubleshooting and resolve basic attendee concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient registration and assembly area Work collaboratively with event leadership and fellow team members to ensure smooth event operations Follow event procedures and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times Lift and move conference materials weighing up to 25 pounds as needed Stand and walk for extended periods throughout scheduled shifts Qualifications Previous experience in event staffing, conventions, hospitality, retail, customer service, or administrative support preferred Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills Professional appearance and positive attitude Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Must be authorized to work in the United States Preferred Background Convention or Event Staff Brand Ambassador Hospitality Professional Hotel Front Desk Associate Customer Service Representative Retail Associate Administrative Assistant Guest Services Representative Promotional Event Staff Fully onsite position located in Las Vegas, NV Event dates: July 18 – July 24, 2026 Temporary assignment supporting a large-scale international convention Work schedule will vary based on event needs and assigned shifts Staff may be assigned to multiple event locations throughout the Las Vegas Strip Business casual or event-specific attire required Immediate hiring need Why Apply?
