- Chandler, Arizona Open in Google Maps Job Details Job ID: 5796927 Application Deadline: Jul 01, 2026 11:59 PM (Mountain Standard Time) Posted: Jun 23, 2026 6:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Jul 6, 2026 Job Description Employment Type: Full-time Base Salary: $71,544.00 Calendar: 0212 FT, 212 total paid days including 12 paid holidays, July 6-June 3, 2027 Benefits: PTO, holidays, matched retirement through the Arizona State Retirement System, health, and life insurance, wellness, professional growth credit Performance Pay: Available annually New Hire Experience Credit: $400 for each full‑time year of verified experience, max $2800 New Hire Education Credit: $80/hour of graduate level credits beyond minimum required for position: +96 hours max, $500 for first additional advanced degree Job Goal: Duties associated with the role of Special Education Facilitator align with compliance and communication within special education based upon provisions outlined in state and federal law (IDEA). This includes professional development addressing specialized instruction, processes and procedures, compliance with MET, IEP, 504, FBA, BIP, and data reporting procedures, as well as the provision of FAPE. The facilitator serves as the liaison to assigned sites and assists special education staff in troubleshooting issues related to special education. Additionally, evaluation of classified staff supporting the special education department is required. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in special education, school counseling, or school psychology Knowledge of IDEA, the provision of FAPE, and the continuum of services in special education Knowledge of instructional practices that support student‑centered learning Minimum of three years’ experience in a school setting Training and knowledge of e‑IEP PRO Prior experience in special education Prior experience in leadership roles at the site and/or district level Experience with conflict resolution, mediation, or cognitive coaching Current AZ Certification and IVP fingerprint clearance Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and adjust based on immediate needs Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations, and rules Core Job Functions Provide support to district sites and special education teams to ensure compliant services and programming to meet the needs of identified students Establish and promote ongoing communication and collaboration with site administration and special education staff Assist staff in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to specialized support for students Confer with sites regarding special education procedures and compliance requirements Address requests for site training and identify professional development needs Remain current on research related to special education Monitor compliance at assigned sites as related to IDEA, 504, and ADE Perform assigned duties related to other functions of the job Core Values Excellence in all we do. The job involves finger or manual dexterity, repetitive finger motion, speaking, hearing, seeing (with correction), and focusing ability. Employees may be exposed to travel, odors, dust, poor ventilation, workspace restrictions, and loud noises. The work may require lifting or exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
