MRI Technologist

The Level 2 Radiologic MRI Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic MRI examinations, producing high-quality images of specified anatomical areas as ordered by physicians. This role ensures adherence to established radiologic procedures and safety standards, providing essential imaging services to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Candidates are expected to have relevant licensure, certifications, and hospital experience. Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic MRI scans according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to produce clear images for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver quality patient care.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and infection control policies.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of MRI equipment.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current New York State license to practice as an MRI Technologist.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Knowledge of MRI technology, anatomy, and imaging protocols.

• Previous hospital healthcare experience.
• Additional certifications related to radiology or MRI techniques.

• Shift schedule includes weekdays from 3 PM to 11 PM and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 8 AM to 4 PM.
• Shifts can be split or broken up as needed.
• Work environment requires adherence to safety and infection control standards in a hospital setting.

• Work schedule consists of weekday evening shifts and weekend day shifts as specified.
• Shift assignments may be flexible and subject to change based on operational needs.
