Available Locations: Austin, Texas and New York, New York About the role We’re looking for a Video & Motion Producer to own video production for Cloudflare’s Growth team, turning product launches, interviews, and new campaign ideas into polished, compelling content that earns the attention of a technical audience. This is a senior IC role for someone who can think strategically and creatively about video content and also do the hands‑on work: editing, animating, producing, shipping. This role spans a wide surface area: short-form social clips, product launch videos, developer tutorials, event content, motion graphics, ad creatives, and potentially long-form YouTube series. You’ll need to move fast across all of it, and that means being fluent in the best AI models and video editing tools available to accelerate the gap between idea and production. The right person for this role understands developers and new builders in the AI era. You’re fluent in the visual language of modern tech brands and developer communities, you know what type of content gets the right attention, and you’re excited to shape what Cloudflare looks and sounds like in motion. Responsibilities Own developer video production end‑to‑end, from concept and scripting through editing, motion design, and delivery across platforms (YouTube, Shorts, Reels, X, and more). Produce product launch videos that translate technical capabilities into clear, visually compelling narratives developers actually want to watch. Build motion graphics and animated content: product explainers, UI demos, brand moments, and title sequences using After Effects and related tools. Cut event and conference content, editing keynotes, fireside chats, and talks from Developer Week, Birthday Week, and other Cloudflare events into shareable social content. Produce organic short‑form social content across all channels. Support performance marketing through producing ad creative variants for paid campaigns, and working with growth marketers to test and iterate. Build efficient AI‑assisted production workflows, developing templates, style guides, and repeatable processes so you can deliver quality work across a high volume of requests. Stay close to data by using performance metrics and audience feedback to inform what you produce next; bring a test‑and‑learn mindset to formats and content types. Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: 8+ years of experience in video production, motion design, or a related field, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates both craft and range. Developer audience experience. You’ve produced content for a technical audience (developers, engineers, technical operators) and understand what resonates with them. Hands‑on editing and motion skills. You’re comfortable with tools like After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. You can do the work yourself, not just direct others. End‑to‑end production ability. You’ve managed projects from concept through scripting, production, post‑production, and delivery. You own timelines, manage stakeholders, and ship on schedule. Strong editorial judgment. You know how to find the compelling moment in a 45‑minute talk, write a clear script for a 60‑second explainer, and structure a tutorial that actually teaches. Platform fluency. You understand how video works across YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok, including format requirements, pacing, and what performs. Brand sensibility and taste. You care about visual consistency, typography, color, and the details that make content feel polished and on‑brand. Self‑directed and proactive. You thrive with autonomy, can prioritize across multiple projects. Experience shooting and directing live‑action video (interviews, on‑location, studio). Familiarity with AI‑assisted video workflows (e.g., Runway, OpusClip, CapCut). Experience with developer‑focused content. Understanding of performance marketing creative, including how to produce ad variants, read test results, and iterate on paid creative. Motion design systems thinking, including building reusable animation templates, brand motion libraries, or design systems for video. Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. For New York based hires: Estimated annual salary of $150,000 - $190,000.
