As an NDT Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced NDT Technicians inspecting pipelines, pressure vessels, structural steel, and other critical infrastructure. You'll learn how professional NDT inspections are performed using methods such as radiography, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant testing —all without damaging the materials being inspected.

You don't need to be an NDT expert to get started. We're looking for dependable people who are willing to learn, work hard, follow safety procedures, and want to build a long-term career.

What You'll Actually Do

Your day-to-day work will vary depending on the project, but you'll help our NDT Technicians:

• Travel to customer job sites, which may include plants, pipelines, refineries, and industrial facilities.

• Set up and prepare equipment for inspections.

• Assist with radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, leak testing, and visual inspections.

• Help assemble equipment, run cables, prepare inspection areas, clean welds, and position testing equipment.

• Assist technicians with taking readings and performing examinations.

• Learn how to properly use and maintain NDT equipment.

• Help identify and document inspection results.

• Load, unload, set up, and tear down equipment.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Drive company vehicles when required.

• Learn new skills and responsibilities directly from experienced Lead Technicians.

• Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your crew.

What We're Looking For

You don't need years of NDT experience.

We're looking for people who are:

• Comfortable working with their hands and around mechanical equipment.

• Willing to learn a specialized trade.

• Able to follow detailed instructions.

• Safety-minded and aware of their surroundings.

• Comfortable working as part of a team.

• Professional when interacting with customers and coworkers.

• Able to adapt to changing schedules and jobsite conditions.

Experience That Can Translate Well

NDT experience is preferred but not required . Experience in areas such as these can be helpful:

• Construction

• Welding

• Mechanical work

• Oil & Gas

• Industrial maintenance

• Manufacturing

• Pipeline work

• Military

• Electrical work

• Equipment operation

• Other skilled trades

Safety Comes First

You'll work around industrial equipment, radiation, chemicals, electrical components, moving machinery, heights, and other jobsite hazards.

You'll receive direction and training from experienced technicians, but you must be willing to take safety seriously, follow procedures, and look out for your fellow crew members.

What You Need

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to meet company insurance requirements

• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures

Preferred:

• Previous work experience in a skilled trade, industrial, mechanical, construction, or similar environment

• TWIC Card

• State Card / Trainer

• Previous NDT experience
