SOUTHCOAST HEALTH IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED REFERRALS SPECIALIST FOR OUR Cardiology DEPT.

Provide support for providers that include care coordination for assignedpatients, including information and referrals. Act as a liaison between SouthCoast and other health care providers in the community.

Qualifications:

• Ability to exercise professionalism in dealing with all levels of personnel, patients and patients' families.
  
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work cooperatively as member of the medical office's team.
• Ability to respond to stressful/emergency situations in a calm and effective manner.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures related to referrals.

Responsibilities:

• Works in conjunction with the department to ensure daily and monthly tasks are completed timely and efficiently.
  
• Obtain referral orders/information from clinical staff or providers.
• Schedule referral appointments within 2-3 business days for appointments and document necessary notes.
• Run tracking reports weekly/monthly to ensure that Quality Assurance goals are met.
• Maintain communication with clinical staff for no shows/refusal appointments.
• Performs or assists with other special projects as assigned by Supervisor.
• Complies with all HIPAA regulations.

Education/ Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year experience in a medical office. Computer experience.
