Experienced RN NICU

Job Summary To thrive in this role, you’ll heavily depend on your ability to multitask and react. You’ll clinically care for your patients – remaining focused and attentive as you continuously monitor them throughout your shift. You also serve as their advocate – supporting their best interests when they cannot. Your sound judgment during an emergency and rapid response will put you on the radar for advancement. Responsibilities Assess, plan, and implement nursing care while ensuring patient comfort. Anticipate, identify, and respond to informational and emotional needs of patients and families. Guide and direct healthcare personnel (i.e., CNAs) in caring for patients. Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use (e.g., IV pumps, monitoring equipment, drainage devices). Utilize safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms as necessary. Initiate emergency support measures (e.g., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patients from injury). Assist with patient care duties/tasks (e.g., emptying drainage devices, ambulating, hygiene). Compensation Base rate + shift differential. Incentives up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus and up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years). Tuition Reimbursement: $5,525 for full‑time and $2,750 for part‑time. Pay Range: $36.00 – $52.20 per hour. Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state. Experience: 1–2 years, with preference for experienced RNs. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Specialty certification (e.g., PCCN, CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred. Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas. Where You’ll Work St. Elizabeth is a Level III high‑risk facility with 11 LDRs + 2 OB ED Beds, 2 ORs, 23 Postpartum rooms, and a 27‑bed Level III NICU. Our practitioners include OB/GYN, Family Practice and Nurse Midwives. The facility offers resources to OB Hospitalists, Maternal‑Fetal Medicine and Neonatology experts, and provides 24/7 anesthesiology access. Neonatal transport services are also available.
