About the job About Our Client This client is a leading agricultural data and analytics company based in Madison, WI. They provide field-level insights using satellite imagery and machine learning to help agribusinesses, banks, insurers, and sustainability partners to assess risk, evaluate performance, and drive investment. Their core product is delivered through an API, enabling seamless integration into client workflows. As a small, agile team, they value curiosity, collaboration, and impact. About You You are a driven, entrepreneurial sales leader who’s excited to take ownership of the full sales funnel — from strategy and outreach to deal closing and onboarding. You thrive in fast-moving environments, especially where the product is technical, the stakeholders are complex, and the team is lean. You’re equally comfortable mapping out a go-to-market strategy and jumping into a call with a potential client to discuss how an API can integrate into their workflow. You enjoy working cross-functionally with engineering and you’re energized by the opportunity to help shape the company's growth trajectory. While you’re primarily remote, you value in-person collaboration and seek out opportunities to build strong working relationships. What To Expect In This Position: Own and execute the company’s end-to-end sales process , from lead generation and outreach to proposals, negotiations, and closed deals. Collaborate with the leadership team to shape and evolve go-to-market strategy , pricing models, and sales operations. Focus on selling the company’s API-based data products , articulating value to both technical and business stakeholders across agriculture, banking, and insurance. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline , with clear documentation, forecasting, and CRM hygiene. Work closely with the engineering team to share customer feedback and identify opportunities for new use cases or product improvements. Partner with marketing to refine messaging and generate qualified leads through campaigns, thought leadership, and events. Represent company at industry conferences, webinars, and client meetings , positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to prospects and partners. Support legal and operational aspects of deals, including contract negotiation and coordination with external counsel when necessary. Stay up-to-date on industry trends , competitor positioning, and customer needs to continuously refine sales strategy. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in B2B enterprise sales, with a proven track record of closing 6 figure deals Experience selling data products or fintech/agtech solutions Strong understanding of at least one of the company’s core customer verticals: financial services, crop insurance, agribusiness, or ESG/sustainability Exceptional communication and negotiation skills Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously in a startup environment Comfortable navigating complex buyer organizations with multiple stakeholders Experience using CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce Benefits Our client is a small, close-knit team based in Madison, WI.
