Echocardiographer - Clinic

The Echocardiographer - Clinic performs echocardiograms and related stress exams and calculates measurements to obtain data used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with possible cardiac related symptoms in the outpatient clinic setting.

Qualifications

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Level of Education Minimum:

• Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Minimum:

• Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Cardiac Sonographer. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Technical Requirements Minimum:

• Operational knowledge of echocardiography and electrocardiographic equipment. Knowledge of basic human anatomy and a thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy. Knowledge of basic and advanced arrhythmias. Ability to operate computers

Years of Related Work Experience Preferred:

• 1 year of experience in performing echocardiograms and other department-related diagnostic cardiac procedures.
