Job Overview Broadway Dental Arts, a Heartland Dental supported practice located at 135 East Broadway Street, Sand Springs, OK, is seeking a full‑time Experienced Dental Assistant. Schedule Rotating Mondays & Fridays, 4 days a week with 8‑hour days, with occasional half days to make a full week of 5 days. Benefits No nights or weekends. Full benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Quarterly bonus potential. Dental Assistant Academy training and continuing education classes. Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustaining patient comfort and providing appropriate education throughout treatment. Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care. Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.). Provide superior chairside assistance (i.e., four‑handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act. Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping. Prepare the treatment room with strict adherence to safety protocols and following OSHA & CDC recommendations. Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed. Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow. Education & Certification High School Diploma or GED. State Dental Assistant Permit. State X‑Ray Certification. Experience At least 1 year of Dental Assistant work experience. Technical Skills Dentrix or other dental software experience. Microsoft Office Suite experience. Business & Professional Skills Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities. Adaptability to changing workflows and team dynamics. Detail‑oriented with a proactive problem‑solving approach. Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year. Compliance & Confidentiality Access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job‑related functions; regular HIPAA training is required. TB Test Requirement All new hires in dental office positions must complete a TB test prior to starting employment, except in FL & TN where not required.
