We are seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join our team and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment.Position SummaryInterventional Radiology RNs (IR RNs) are involved with the assessment, planning, and care of patients who undergo Interventional Radiology procedures. The IR RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Supporting and managing sedation cases across radiology and are responsible for vascular access (PICC and peripheral IV) throughout the hospital.Prepare patients for procedures by providing ongoing education to the patient and to the family membersDelegate tasks appropriately within scope of practice and perform necessary follow-upCommunication & CollaborationCommunicate patient status, changes, and critical information through proper hand-off and escalation channelsEnsure continuity of care by reporting key updates (e.g., assessments, lab results, intake/output, patient concerns)Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomesSeek guidance or assistance when needed to ensure safe and effective careQuality & Patient ExperienceSupport performance improvement initiatives, including infection control and quality assurance standardsMaintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., Joint Commission)Promote a positive patient experience through effective communication and service recoveryAnticipate and respond to patient needs promptlyContribute to a team-oriented environment by assisting colleagues as neededQualificationsCurrent Louisiana RN license or temporary permitInterventional Radiology RN ExperienceBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart AssociationAdditional Certifications (as applicable by department):MICU: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Oncology (Med/Surg, Clinic, Infusion, etc.): Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification (within 2 years of hire)Perioperative Nursing: Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) or equivalent certificationWORK SHIFT:Variable Hours (United States of America)Lakeview Hospital, the center of LCMC Health's extraordinary community of care on the Northshore, provides the only Level II trauma center in St. Tammany Parish.
