Personal Banker I - Humble West The Personal Banker I position will provide an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. This position is responsible for processing teller transactions and working as a member of the platform staff. The banker helps customers to understand and address their financial needs, providing solutions across the customer's life cycle using a consultative sales and service process. The banker is responsible and accountable for risk, consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks within the bank's risk appetite. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach efforts in person, over the phone, or other channels as appropriate. Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice. Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered. Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customer's needs are met and all problems are resolved. Analyze customer credit data and other related financial information to ensure customers are in the appropriate solutions that align with their needs. Provide customer support needed reinforcing the value of current and new technology. Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling the ethical behavior expected from every employee within the Bancorp. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required High School Diploma/GED and 6 months customer service experience, or college degree or equivalent military experience. Demonstrated ability to develop confidence with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships. Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication. Business acumen. Ability to make sound decisions. SAFE Act registration at NMLS at the time of employment. Working Conditions Normal office environment. Prolonged viewing of computer screens. Benefits The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
