iOS Developer
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 12 months
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
We are seeking an experienced iOS Developer with a strong background in mobile application development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern iOS technologies, application architecture, UI/UX development, persistent data storage, API integration, testing, debugging, and production support.
The candidate will be responsible for owning assigned application development activities, collaborating with business and technical teams, resolving technical issues, and contributing to the overall quality and reliability of mobile applications.
Key Requirements- Minimum 18 months of professional iOS development experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong experience with Xcode, Instruments, Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C
- Experience with iOS application architecture and design patterns, including:
- MVC
- MVVM
- MV
- Singleton
- Grand Central Dispatch (GCD)
- Concurrency
- Multithreading
- Operational queues
- Experience with Core Data, SwiftData, and persistent data stores
- Experience handling and parsing JSON from web services and APIs
- Experience with REST APIs and application integrations
- Experience with GitHub and modern source-control practices
- Experience with Firebase, Crashlytics, Sentry.IO, or comparable crash/error monitoring tools
- Experience with CI/CD
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or comparable tools
- Experience with dependency managers such as:
- Swift Package Manager
- Carthage
- Similar dependency management solutions
- Own assigned iOS application design and development tasks from implementation through delivery.
- Develop, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand and validate technical requirements.
- Design and implement scalable and maintainable mobile application functionality.
- Integrate applications with REST APIs and web services.
- Manage application data using Core Data, SwiftData, and other persistent storage technologies.
- Implement concurrency, multithreading, background processing, and operational queues where required.
- Diagnose, debug, and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Assist team members with coding and technical challenges.
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentoring.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Implement and maintain unit tests and other application testing practices.
- Work with UI/UX designs and wireframes to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Monitor application health and troubleshoot crashes and performance issues using appropriate monitoring tools.
- Participate in CI/CD and application release processes.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional development teams.
