Job Description
Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Float

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Assignment Details

Contract length: 26 weeks

Minimum guaranteed hours per week: 36

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required
• Must be able to float to Med-Surg and other Tele units
• EPIC experience required
• Must have ventilator experience
• Must be able to read strips
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath, and pre/post cardiac surgery
• IV therapy skills: blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs
• Medication management for heparin protocols and cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Respiratory/Thoracic skills: care of chronic/long-term ventilated patients, chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous monitoring of patients in a telemetry setting
• Administer medications and therapies as per protocols
• Respond to changes in patient condition and implement appropriate interventions
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and families on health management strategies

Compliance / Notes

RTO must be included in the submittal; no RTO allowed for the first two weeks of the assignment. Once RTO is submitted, it cannot be changed unless it's to cancel the requested time off.
