Job Description

Job Summary:
The CVOR Technologist is responsible for assisting in cardiovascular surgeries within the operating room, ensuring optimal patient care and safety. This role requires strong technical skills, relevant experience, and the ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up surgical instrumentation and equipment specific to CVOR procedures.
• Assist surgeons during open heart surgeries and other cardiovascular operations, adhering to sterile protocols.
• Monitor patients' clinical status intraoperatively, communicating effectively with the surgical team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting, preferably with Cerner experience.
• Follow travel compliance policies, including obtaining necessary fingerprinting, drug screens, and background checks prior to start.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekday and weekend call, with travel within hospital facilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 1 year CVOR experience, with open heart surgery preferred.
• Hold a valid PA or Compact licensure, with current AHA certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in sterile technique, instrumentation, and CVOR procedures.
• Be adaptable to float within hospital units and across facilities within a 10-mile radius.
• Possess strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively under pressure.
• Meet all background, fingerprinting, and drug screening requirements prior to start.
