Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Automation Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week required) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Addison, TX. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

This role will lead the design, development, and implementation of intelligent automation, machine learning, and business process automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Java/Spring developer and will be responsible for building scalable automation frameworks and enterprise applications to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of intelligent automation, machine learning, and business process automation solutions using Java, Python, and Spring Framework
• Design and develop scalable automation frameworks, reusable components, and enterprise applications
• Build, deploy, and maintain machine learning models and AI-driven solutions
• Design and implement robust application architectures using Java, Spring Framework, Python, and RESTful APIs
• Develop integrations between automation platforms, enterprise applications, databases, and APIs
• Design and optimize data models and application integrations leveraging SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
• Drive automation modernization initiatives by identifying opportunities to apply AI and machine learning
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Develop secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Participate in solution design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions
• Support Agile delivery practices including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and estimation
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, automation, and integration issues
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve software quality and accelerate delivery

Requirements:

• Proven background as a Java/J2EE developer
• Experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience designing and implementing solutions on automation platforms

Desired skills:

• WorkFusion platform experience, including development and ML capabilities
• Exposure to Machine Learning (ML)
• Experience with ML Model development using both out-of-the-box models and Python
• Experience working with distributed testing teams across multiple geographies
• Knowledge of the banking domain

Pay range: $46.09 - $54.09 per hour
