Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a school district in Frankfort, Indiana . The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities while collaborating with teachers, families, and other school-based professionals to help students reach their academic and developmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)

• Monitor and document student progress toward academic and functional goals

• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings

• Maintain accurate student records and required documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field

• Valid Indiana special education teaching license or eligibility for licensure

• Previous school-based experience preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
