A rewarding opportunity awaits as a paraprofessional supporting a life skills high school classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position provides valuable experience in a collaborative educational setting, focusing on empowering students with diverse needs. The position runs Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, offering a consistent daytime schedule and a structured, supportive environment.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, reliable, and ready to make a difference in the academic and developmental growth of students. You will be instrumental in encouraging student independence, aiding classroom management, and working closely with faculty and staff. This role is not 1:1, ensuring opportunities to support multiple students in a dynamic classroom setting.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of paraprofessional experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• If you do not already possess either a paraprofessional certificate, at least 48 college credits, or an associate’s degree or higher, you must be willing to obtain a paraprofessional certificate within 60 days of hire
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience supporting high school students or working in life skills classrooms is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Provide classroom support for students with varied life skills needs
• Foster student engagement and social interaction
• Support daily instructional activities and accommodations
