Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

3 12-hour day shifts (0645-1915) with one or two on-call weekday shifts (1900-0715) and one full weekend of call every 5 weeks. Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet unit and patient care needs.

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse with experience in a large, academic, teaching hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience, specifically with high competency in Cardiovascular and Open Heart procedures. You will be responsible for circulating in the OR and may be required to float to other suites (General, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, etc) as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate in the Cardiovascular Operating Room.
• Provide high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and standards of care.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications:

• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
• Prior travel experience as a registered nurse is required.
• Recent experience with Epic EMR within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
• Strong background in Cardiovascular and Open Heart OR nursing.
• Ability to explain any employment gaps over 90 days.
