If you’re an ACAS (or near) and excited to work on a collaborative team, solving problems, building strategy, and getting stuff done at a top workers compensation carrier, this is the place for you.ResponsibilitiesDrive ProfitabilityCalculate aggregate state rate indicationsAnalyze state profitability at a segmented level and Identify areas of opportunity and challengeRecommend rate changes or other actions that will provide the right balance between profitability and growth.Provide actuarial support for quick rate filing approvals, ensuring rate filings are compliant with state regulationsCommunicate results and insights to Product and other business partners to gain consensus on a go-forward plan of actionPerformance MonitoringDevelop, enhance, and maintain dashboards to track Workers’ Compensation resultsTrack relevant economic trends and industry benchmarksPrice large, high deductible and excess Workers Compensation accountsAdditional ContributionsActuarial research projectsPlanningReinsurance pricingSupport crossline of business sales and pricing initiativesPartnering with the Modeling team to assess predictive model outputsQualificationsBS, BA or higher degreeACAS or close and pursual of FCAS4+ years of property-casualty commercial lines insurance experienceWorkers Compensation pricing experience is strongly preferredStrong analytical and communication skills are a mustExtensive knowledge of Excel, Word, and SQL.
