Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Under the supervision of a Department Director or assigned delegate, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst will provide initial and ongoing supervision to behavioral staff working with children and adolescents diagnosed with severe behavioral disorders within the Severe Behavior Department. This position will supervise a caseload of patients, conduct assessments, design and implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress toward goals, and provide caregiver training. This position will also provide direct supervision while providing positive and constructive feedback daily. This position will assist in directing the treatment team in their crisis response procedures in order to effectively de-escalate patients engaging in aggressive and destructive behavior. This position will also assist with hiring and training new behavioral staff. * This position will regularly encounter potentially moderate- to high-risk care situations that could result in bodily harm to the employee. These situations may include, but are not limited to, providing behavioral therapy in situations where the patients display property destruction, emotional outbursts, verbal insults, and physical aggression. This position will receive specialized behavior management training. Required Qualifications Education: Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related health care field. Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant supervised clinical experience in applied behavior analysis as a BCBA, RBT, or related. License: Certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board or ability to obtain certification within 180 days of hire. Computer Applications: Not applicable. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Design and implement individualized behavior plans. Provide, assess, interpret, and communicate age-specific data in response to treatment protocols. Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with other employees, patients, and their families as well as the public, across all age groups. Demonstrate professional behavior by adhering to departmental and organizational policies and procedures, and assuming authority appropriately. Pursue necessary education or training to incorporate relevant hardware, software, technologies, and ideas. Adhere to the principles and mission of the Institute. In-depth knowledge of and adherence to applicable ethical codes and standards. Be flexible, multi-task, and manage competing priorities. Remain calm, patient, and empathetic. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education: None. Preferred License: Eligibility for a license or provisional license for mental health services in the state of NE (e.g., PLMHP, LMHP, LIMHP). Preferred Computer Applications: Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Familiar with various assessment protocols. Manage staff by providing positive and corrective feedback on an ongoing basis.
