Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Illinois

Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Hours: 36 hours/week

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for managing a group of patients within the Emergency Department (ED) using the nursing process, clinical knowledge, and collaboration with the healthcare team. This role emphasizes high-quality patient care, safety, and continuous evaluation in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Core Nursing Duties

• Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and evaluate patient care interventions
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient documentation
• Ensure safe care practices and report or resolve safety hazards
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff
• Support peer development and contribute to team learning

Emergency Department (ED) Duties

• Deliver specialized emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment
• Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care using triage principles
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams on treatment plans
• Continuously evaluate and adjust patient care plans
• Promote safe, efficient patient flow and quality outcomes
• Maintain a healing and supportive environment for patients and families

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
