About the Role As a Business Immigration Associate at Fragomen, you will work with a smart, motivated, and diverse peer group in an exclusive focus on immigration. Responsibilities Develop expert‑level understanding of client base, industries supported, and firm’s practice areas. Develop case strategies: researching, drafting, reviewing, counseling clients, and triaging initiations. Identify and solve escalations and areas of underperformance. Communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural, case‑processing issues, and strategy. Support clients in immigration program management and compliance. Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non‑immigrant and immigrant visa status. Work with client global mobility personnel to prepare petitions and applications for submission to government agencies. Draft and prepare letters and legal documents based on established precedents. Conduct research to support client requests and projects. Communicate proactively within SLAs/team protocols with a precise, efficient, thoughtful, and organized response. Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information, and support client projects. Directly or indirectly supervise junior Associates and other staff, providing mentoring and coaching. Seek out and implement opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and standardization of processes, products, or services. Demonstrate willingness to learn and effectively implement guidance from supervisors and experienced colleagues. Use firm technology accurately and in line with team and client protocols, ensuring accurate and complete data entry. Actively contribute to team meetings and firm‑wide activities. Ensure self‑ and team‑follow documented firm standards and policy to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory, operational, and client compliance. Qualifications U.S. JD or LLM required. Member of a U.S. State bar or Washington D.C. bar association. 2‑3 years of experience at Associate level. Expanded practical understanding of immigration law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to proofread and draft fluent prose without reliance on AI engines. Dedication to exceptional client service. Demonstrated attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with competing demands. Compensation The salary range for this role is $130,000.00 – $162,000.00 for individuals able to work a hybrid schedule in the office locally. Compensation decisions are based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, arrangement, licensure, certifications, and market data.
