Position Summary
The dishwasher will assist the kitchen staff with ensuring that the kitchen remains clean and sanitized while following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Washing dishes: Scrape, rinse, and load dishes, glassware, and silverware into dishwashers or wash them by hand.
- Maintaining cleanliness: Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of clutter.
- Sanitation: Ensure all items are properly sanitized according to health and safety standards.
- Storing dishes: Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated areas.
- Restocking: Assist with restocking serving stations, cupboards, and other areas with necessary items.
- Cleaning: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, floors, and other areas as needed.
- Waste disposal: Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
- Food safety: Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination.
