Project Manager / Construction Manager

Job Description AECOM is seeking a Project Manager / Construction Manager to be based in Pomona, CA, focusing on Educational Projects in Southern California. Compensation: USD 105,000 - USD 120,000 per year. Duties Resolve complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements. Review status and overall construction project progress relative to submitted construction schedules. Review change orders from all construction projects and assess their impact. Assist Client management staff with bid and contract planning. Assess bid specifications according to Client needs and probability of completion under stated timeline. Review status and monitor variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting. Review and verify submitted applications for payment and perform overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects. Provide functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control. Review and monitor overall administration of contracts for Architects and related consultants. Coordinate program activities with other Client organizational branches and departments such as the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, Design and A/E Technical Support, Asset Management Branch, Contract Administration, Inspection Unit, Maintenance and Operations. Review and take recommended actions in resolving disputes relative to construction projects. Actively manage General Contractors in the field. Project reporting. Manage staff. Qualifications BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Experience Seven years of professional experience managing the facilities design, or the planning and coordination of capital projects that include the overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling activities. Five years of experience with healthcare facilities design, planning and construction. Field management of General Contractors. Experience with construction management. Manage projects $90M and above. Experience with local worker PLAs, prevailing wage / DIR experience, public works projects, DSA experience. Graduation from a recognized college or university with an architecture, engineering or construction management background. Additional courses in business administration, public relations, accounting, school finance, personnel management, educational facilities planning, and communication are preferred. Preferred Licenses and Certificates A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California State Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. A valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI). LEED Professional Accreditation.
