This organization is a full-service community and regional teaching hospital. It serves multiple rural cities with primary and specialty care services. The area offers a nice balance of small-town community and cultural diversity. This position involves planning and conducting segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions while meeting department objectives. The occupational therapist will serve as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups. Essential functions include completing evaluations to ensure quality standards and addressing assessment areas that require attention. The therapist uses appropriate clinical techniques and tools to establish individualized treatment plans for patients. They provide therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques. Individual care and discharge plans are established, and communication of these plans to appropriate parties is essential. Comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation must be completed within established deadlines. The therapist will supervise assigned assistants and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
