divh2Bus Driver/h2pDrives bus to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule by performing the following duties./ppEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned./pulliMaintain professionalism in your relations with students, parents, and administrative personnel./liliSafely transports students to and from school and various activities./liliNotifies the Transportation Department of all accidents, incidents or delays./liliMaintains an acceptable driving record in personal vehicles and the school bus as required in the Commercial Motor Vehicle safety Act of 1986, Part 383, Subparts B, C, and D of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Reports violations to the Transportation Department./liliComplies with local traffic regulations, Transportation Department guidelines and Caddo Parish School Board policies./liliAdhere to assigned schedule./liliBe prompt in picking up and discharging students at approved stops./liliTransport only students which have been so authorized and, in emergency, a student assigned by the principal./liliEnforce bus regulations and report undisciplined students to principal./liliFurnishes and maintains traveling and time schedules./liliInspects bus and checks gas, oil, and water before departure. Keeps bus clean./liliNotify parents of bus schedule (i.e., time and bus stop location) prior to opening of school and when changes occur./liliPerforms other related duties as required or assigned./li/ulpTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
