School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Richmond, VA Position Type: Full-Time Contract Schedule: MondayFriday | School Hours

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow) to join a supportive school district in the Richmond, Virginia area. Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and interpret assessment results.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals.
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (if applicable).
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, pragmatics, AAC, and other communication needs.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Virginia SLP License or eligibility for licensure.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience.
  • Experience working with students from preschool through high school.
  • Familiarity with IEP development and special education processes.
  • Experience with AAC devices, autism spectrum disorders, and diverse communication disorders is a plus.
