West Memphis, Arkansas | Full-Time

East Arkansas Family Health Center, Inc. (EAFHC) is seeking a compassionate and experienced  Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to join our Behavioral Health team. We are especially interested in candidates with experience treating  substance use disorders (SUD), addiction, and co-occurring mental health conditions .

The Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician provides high-quality behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families through evidence-based therapeutic interventions designed to promote emotional wellness, recovery, and improved quality of life.

As part of our integrated  Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model, the Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician works collaboratively with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and improve overall patient outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health and psychosocial assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's needs, diagnoses, strengths, and treatment goals.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Provide assessment and treatment services for patients experiencing substance use disorders, addiction, and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.
• Deliver crisis assessment and intervention services for patients experiencing acute behavioral health needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, behavioral health providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and required billing documentation.
• Meet established productivity expectations of approximately 6–10 behavioral health sessions per clinical day .
• Educate patients and families regarding behavioral health conditions, recovery, coping strategies, treatment options, and available community resources.
• Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and integrated behavioral health activities.
• Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and continuing education programs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, professional standards, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related behavioral health field.
• Current and unrestricted Arkansas licensure as one of the following:
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Another equivalent behavioral health license recognized by the State of Arkansas
• Experience providing individual and/or group behavioral health counseling.
• Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of an integrated healthcare team.

Preferred

• Experience treating  substance use disorders, addiction, and co-occurring mental health conditions .
• Experience or specialized training in trauma-informed care.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
• Experience working in an integrated primary care, community health center, or similar healthcare setting.
• Experience utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
