Medical Assistant Certified/Prior Authorization - Pharmacy - North

Responsibilities The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visits and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice. As an MA, you will also actively participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices. Qualifications and Skills Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving. Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program OR a High School Diploma/GED + one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years. Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire. Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system. Process referrals and medication refills and complete prior authorizations.
