Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist, Nights

Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist, NightsPerforms sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) RequiredWork ExperienceNo experience required Required1 year of experience as a phlebotomist PreferredExperience in performing EKGs PreferredExperience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting PreferredLicenses and CertificationsNone RequiredCPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency PreferredPiedmont Newnan Hospital
