Position Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to leadership and a trusted resource for employees, supporting the organization’s goal of fostering an engaged, high-performing, and compliant workforce. This role is responsible for delivering core HR functions, including full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and workplace investigations. The HRBP collaborates closely with leaders to support business objectives, enhance the employee experience, and drive organizational effectiveness through proactive and innovative HR solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
• Coordinate and oversee onboarding processes to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on workplace concerns, policies, and HR-related matters.
• Conduct and support workplace investigations in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
• Partner with leadership to address employee relations matters and support performance management initiatives.
• Support employee engagement programs, retention strategies, and culture-building initiatives aligned with organizational values.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with HR leadership on policy development, compliance audits, and HR process improvements.
• Analyze HR data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Participate in cross-functional projects related to talent development, organizational change, and continuous improvement.
• Promote a culture of respect, accountability, and inclusion across all levels of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in human resources or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations practices.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build relationships and influence at multiple levels of the organization.
• Working knowledge of employment policies, procedures, and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Preferred Experience:

• Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
• Experience in construction, maritime, industrial, or multi-site environments.
• Familiarity with multi-state employment laws and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting organizational change initiatives or workforce planning.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Ability to view computer screens and printed materials with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting light office materials (up to 10-15 pounds).
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via virtual meeting platforms.

Work Environment:

• Primarily office-based role with occasional visits to field or operational sites.
• Fast-paced, collaborative environment supporting multiple departments and business units.
• Work schedules may include occasional extended hours or travel to support recruitment, employee relations, or HR initiatives.
