CNC Machinist

Job Description EBAD seeks a qualified candidate for the position CNC Machinist , reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor. The position is located in Simsbury, CT. The CNC Machinist is responsible for fabricating precision-machined parts by setting up and operating CNC and manual mills and lathes. Equipment is Haas UMC-750 CNC 5-Axis Mill, Hardinge Bridgeport V480 3 axis mill, TRAK TMC7 mill, ST-25Y CNC Turret Lathe, Okuma L2000e 2 axis lathe, Babin TML-5C Manual Lathe and Bridgeport Manual 3-Axis Mill. Responsibilities: Complete tool, fixture, and material setup on CNC mill and lathe. Running first piece article ready for inspection. Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment. Changing tools and offsets based on cutting conditions. Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards. Using proper feed, speed, and other cutting parameters based on work piece materials such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc. Other similar or related duties as required. Requirements: Must have experience running 5 axis machinery. Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC operation with setup experience. General knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading and inspection tools Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Minimum High school education or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion.
