Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Location unspecified. This role involves preparing sterile supplies such as linen, trays, and equipment for use throughout the Medical Center. The technician will also decontaminate, assemble, sterilize supplies, make deliveries, and pull surgical case carts for the Operating Room, supporting the efficiency and safety of surgical operations.

Job Details:

• Position Description: Scope Technician with must-have experience in Scope reprocessing, specifically with scopes such as EGD, ERCP, and Broncho scopes.
• Schedule: Evenings shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High school education; Central Sterile Certification; CBSPD or CRCST certification; 2.5+ years of experience with scope reprocessing and at least one travel placement completed or over 3 years if a new traveler; experience with Scope EGD, ERCP, and Broncho scopes.
• Additional Requirements: Previous employment with Johns Hopkins system must be noted in work history and verified prior to offer. Candidates must have worked at Johns Hopkins facilities at least 1 full year before reapplying as a traveler if previously employed.
• Responsibilities: Prepare sterile supplies, decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, deliver supplies, and pull surgical case carts for the Operating Room.
