HDR is looking for a Project Control Specialist in our Charlotte, Raleigh, or Winston-Salem office. In the role of Project Controls Specialist, we'll count on you to:
- Establish work breakdown structure (WBS).
- Develop and maintain complex project schedules for various phases of the project.
- Coordinate with necessary team members.
- Develop and monitor project metrics.
- Participate in project coordination meetings.
- Conduct project site visits, if applicable.
- Conduct schedule baseline and schedule update reviews.
- Develop cost estimates.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in project controls work on engineering and construction projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports, local candidates are preferred.
- Certifications (one or more): PSP, PMP, PE, CM, EVP, PMI-SP.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- The capability to actively progress knowledge in the areas of:
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Coordination and prioritization of multiple long and short-term tasks.
- Organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
