Infilla is on a mission to make more housing happen faster. The US is short 4-7 million homes. Infilla is fixing the slowest part of building them: the permit process. We're early, funded, moving fast…and you'll be the one building what makes it possible.

We've raised $5M from top-tier investors and already have more customer demand than we can keep up with. As our full-stack engineer, you'll have massive ownership, ship fast, and see your work be used by government staff in days.

The Role

As our full-stack product engineer, you don't just write code. You shape the product, tech stack, and culture from the ground up. You'll work directly with customers, ship daily, and lay the engineering foundation we'll scale on.

Our Tech Stack

We chose "boring" technologies to focus on delivering quickly for our customers:

• Front end: React with Radix Themes components
• Back end: Remix (Node.js) with Prisma ORM (Postgres)
• Language: Full-stack TypeScript
• Infrastructure: AWS with Terraform

Skills & Qualifications

We'd love to hear from you if you are a serious builder who...

• Are oriented towards mission & users over specific technology or area of the stack
• Have 2+ years of professional experience in full-stack product development
• Fluent, comfortable, and proficient in React
• Are product-minded, curious, empathetic, and care about the user experience
• Prioritize moving quickly and finding creative ways to ship early
• Have experimented and used AI as part of your coding practices
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Are a humble, kind team player based on the West Coast with a strong preference for the SF Bay Area

Interview Process

We aim to make this happen in 1-2 weeks:

1. Initial call (15-30 min) - Casual chat to understand your experience and interest in Infilla.
2. Pair-coding exercise (60 min) - Pair with an engineer on a real-world problem
3. Product sense exercise (30 min) - Go through a product sense exercise with a product manager
4. Founder call (45 min) - Chat with the founder about your past work experiences
5. Paid contract work (1-3 days depending on availability) - Work on a small project together. You'll learn what it's like to work with us as we're learning what it's like to work with you. Meet the entire team. We can discuss alternatives if this doesn't work for your situation.
