HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 10 ICU/PCU Overflow Patient Ratios: 2:1 ICU, 4-5: 1 PCU Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : see above ratios, charge nurse out of staffing, no unit secretaries or PCTs. Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN Type of equipment: Lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, IV pumps, etc. Documentation system: Cerner Scheduling requirements: 12 hr shifts, every other weekend requirement, holiday support. On Call Requirements: No Floating policy: Yes, travelers will be required to float Patient Experience requirements: Bed side shift report is mandatory in all areas of the hospital, relief charge nurse will be expected to perform nurse leader rounding Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have : Medical ICU experience in large facility , comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management. Must be a critical thinker, flexible and works well with others. Advanced skills needed: ventilator management, critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors, etc), advanced hemodynamic monitoring, central line management.
