Marketing Internship

Location: In-person, San Francisco — ASAP Type: Internship Overlap builds AI video agents for media companies. We help teams automatically edit and post the best moments from long-form video and audio. We work with customers including iHeartMedia, Barstool Sports, Yahoo, Almost Friday, The Volume, ARN, NZME, and many others. Together, our customers represent a major share of the podcast publishing and digital media space. The Role We’re looking for a Marketing Intern who wants real ownership over how Overlap shows up in the world. You’ll run social, develop creative campaigns, help produce events, and come up with your own initiatives to grow the Overlap brand. This is not a role where you’ll be handed a calendar and asked to schedule posts. We want someone who has ideas, good taste, and the ability to turn those ideas into things people actually see. You should understand internet culture, know what makes content interesting, and have strong instincts for how a fast-moving AI company should communicate. You’ll work directly with the founders and have significant freedom to experiment. What You’ll Do Turn product launches, customer wins, company milestones, and interesting ideas into compelling content Own and grow Overlap’s presence across X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant channels Develop and execute creative marketing campaigns from concept → production → distribution Create social graphics, short-form videos, launch assets, and other creative Help plan and execute events, activations, dinners, conferences, and community initiatives Work with customers and partners on co-marketing opportunities Find unconventional ways to get Overlap in front of the right people Pitch and own your own marketing initiatives with the resources to execute them Experiment constantly, measure what works, and double down quickly What We’re Looking For Exceptional taste and a strong sense for what looks, sounds, and feels good Deep familiarity with social media and internet culture Strong writing and communication skills Ability to take an idea from a blank page to something shipped Creative instincts beyond simply following existing marketing playbooks High agency — you see something that should exist and make it happen Comfortable moving quickly without perfect instructions Willingness to work in-person in San Francisco Bonus Points You’ve grown a social account, newsletter, community, or personal brand You’ve created content that has meaningfully spread online Experience with Figma, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, CapCut, or similar creative tools Experience organizing events or activations Familiarity with AI, media, podcasts, creators, or startups You have a portfolio of weird, interesting, or ambitious things you’ve made Why Join Overlap Take real ownership of marketing at a high-growth YC-backed AI startup Build a brand alongside some of the largest media companies in the world Have the freedom to launch your own campaigns and initiatives Work directly with the founders with very little bureaucracy Experiment constantly and see the results of your work immediately Join a small team where a great idea can become a company-wide initiative the same day #J-18808-Ljbffr ApplyMint
