Technical Software Support Systems Engineer LMR

Salary: $60,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements:

• CompTIA or other technical certifications are a plus.
• We require 2 years of experience in technical software support and computer hardware issues.
• We require the ability to relocate to Tyler, TX before starting work.
• We require willingness to travel 25% of the time.

• We provide technical software support to customers for GenWatch, GW3 TRBO, and other Genesis-developed software by phone and email.
• We troubleshoot problems related to software operation, databases, networking, system setup, and connectivity to customer Land Mobile Radio systems.
• We support installation, configuration, validation, and upgrades of our software and customer systems.
• We conduct onsite implementations and customer training.
• We build and maintain positive customer relationships through clear communication, professional service, and dependable follow-through.
• We support a diverse customer base, including commercial businesses, utilities, manufacturing, public safety agencies, and government organizations.
• We participate in on-call after-hours support rotation.
• We travel on-site within the United States or Canada for installation, configuration, and training.
• We work with our Development team to resolve specific issues and recommend product enhancements.
• We document each customer session or project in ticketing software to preserve support history.
• We assist with staging and shipping software and hardware orders as needed.
• We contribute to other projects assigned by our Team Leaders.
• We continually expand our technical knowledge across our products, networking, databases, Land Mobile Radio systems, and related technologies.

We are The Genesis Group (GenCore Candeo, Ltd.), and we are hiring a motivated Systems Engineer for our Technical Operations team. This is a customer-facing technical software support role focused on our Genesis software products and the systems they integrate with. The position is based in Tyler, TX, is full-time, and generally follows an 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday schedule except when traveling or on call.
