This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy services at a 160-bed community hospital located in Lebanon, PA. The assignment begins as soon as possible and lasts approximately 13 weeks, offering a hands-on role in a dynamic hospital setting where patient care is the priority.

The pharmacist will work a 40-hour week, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., including every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This role requires strong coordination and clinical skills to support hospital pharmacy operations and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff activities
• Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy and adjustments
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient drug regimens
• Utilize hospital technology systems including EPIC and Pyxis for effective medication management

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience with exposure to medication order verification and clinical pharmacy practices
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Some experience with chemotherapy medications highly valued
